Courtesy Visit To New DG NAFDAC...

A seven man team from Emzor Pharmaceutical paid courtesy call on the new director general NAFDAC,Mr Paul Orhii  deputy managing director Onyeka Onyeibor Speaking on behalf of the company, said “we are hear to say hello and introduce ourselves formally to you. He informed the new director general Paul Orhii about the company’s contributions towards unlimited wellness”.

According to him the company in the past 32 years has contributed immensely towards the growth of the health sector in Nigeria and is proud to keep the flag flying. He stress that Emzor is the foremost indigenous pharmaceutical company with retail and whole sale experience in the country.

He informed the new director general of the company subsidiaries; EmzorHesco and Zolon Healthcare that the former is a partnership with Bbraun Aseculap and manages the company’s arm of hospital equipments and the latter over see the company’s ethical products not manufactured in Nigeria.

Director General NAFDAC, Paul Orhii in his remark said “he was glad to meet with representatives of the company”. He strongly encouraged the company to adhere to current good manufacturing practice (cGMP).According to him, the agency is here to make sure that the environment is good and safe for companies to manufacture their products and provide the general public safe and affordable drugs.

The new director general said all pharmaceutical companies should see it as a wake up call to obey regulations for their own interest. According to him, the agency is taking a holistic approach to encourage those doing genuine business to do better in Nigeria. He also spoke on the agency preparedness to expedite action in clearing pharmaceutical products entering the countries to help check fake and sub standard products from gaining upper hand in the market.

He said it was time to increase consciousness and confidence in made in Nigeria pharmaceutical products and see Emzor as a partner in fighting counterfeit drugs in the country.
